Susan has spent her life building relationships. As a domestic violence survivor, she understands the importance of healthy connections, and the vital role they play in each individual's life.

Guided by the belief we can no longer accept systems and practices that create disparity and trauma for individuals and families, Susan enrolled at Emporia State University, where she earned her BS in Psychology and MS in Clinical Psychology, and obtained specialized training in trauma focused cognitive therapy, anger management, trauma-informed practices, conscious discipline, and stress and emotion management.

She’s served in a variety of volunteer roles aimed at building/bettering the communities in which she has lived. Now, she guides organizations through effective collaboration and strategic connections in order to create a restorative culture of growth and leadership.
We must do better. We owe it to ourselves, and the generations to come.

Mission & Vision
Primarily, my heart space is working with children. I love doing therapy with children, but I’m not content to just leave it there. My mission is to get to the root of some of the trauma children experience; to impact systems, policies, and practices by creating learning environments and home environments for children that are trauma informed, will integrate conscious discipline, and set children up in a positive manner to be socially, and emotionally healthy little people.

Often, that means helping the adults in their lives learn to lead by example, and giving them the tools to create a safe, calm environment.
